Food and Drink in Lancashire
Lancashire is focusing on food and drink during 2008. Taste Lancashire 08,co-ordinated by Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board, is a year of food and drink to celebrate Lancashire's great local produce, in partnership with Liverpool's 2008 European Capital of Culture celebrations. It's a year of events and promotions championing accredited eateries, local producers, farmers' markets, young chefs and fine local food and drink including Lancashire cheese, Morecambe Bay potted shrimps, Lancashire cheese, hotpot, Goosnargh chicken and lamb and beef from Bowland.
Lloyd Grossman is the Patron of Taste Lancashire 08, which was launched in October 2007 in Garstang, when the worlds biggest Lancashire hotpot was created for the Guiness World Records.
